The chairman of Cantor Fitzgerald revealed that he had verified Tether's reserves.

According to the Gate.io News bot, as reported by CoinDesk, at the Consensus 2025 conference, Cantor Fitzgerald Chairman Brandon Lutnick publicly responded to the market's concerns about Tether. Lutnick stated that during his early collaboration with Tether, he personally participated in the verification of Tether's reserves.

Regarding market rumors, Lutnick clearly denied the claim that he interned at Tether in 2023, but he acknowledged that he learned about cryptocurrency from the Tether team. Notably, Lutnick assumed the role of Chairman of Cantor Fitzgerald in February 2025, and his father currently serves as the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.
