The recent market fluctuations have indeed caught me off guard. I expected a drop of around 100 points, but the actual decline exceeded 300 points, which was far beyond my expectations. I increased my long positions too early, holding onto hopes of a turnaround every time the market rebounded, which led me to close my short positions prematurely. Confusingly, after searching all night, I found no significant Unfavourable Information to explain this trend.
After a night of adjustments, I finally completed the deployment of the risk hedging strategy. The current position structure can withstand a fall of up to 500 points, which makes me feel somewhat relieved. Although the current position status is relatively stable, the process of continuously monitoring the market is indeed exhausting.
This experience made me deeply realize that accurately predicting short-term trends in the cryptocurrency market is extremely difficult. Even experienced traders may misjudge the situation. Therefore, establishing a strong risk management system and maintaining emotional stability is crucial. At the same time, this also reminds us to always stay vigilant, not to be overconfident, and to be ready to respond to sudden changes in the market.
As investors, we need to continually learn and adapt to new market conditions. Perhaps the next step I should consider is using more diversified trading strategies or exploring some automated risk management tools to alleviate the pressure of constantly monitoring the market. In any case, staying calm and rational is always key to successful trading.
