🏆 Record interest in $ETH futures

Open interest in ETH futures on the CME exchange is a new record ($8.3b). Open interest (OI) is the total number of all active futures contracts on an asset. The impact of OI growth on the market: more positions and capital accumulate, increasing liquidity and potential volatility.

There was also an extremely interesting precedent - BTCS announced the world's first dividends in Ethereum: shareholders will receive $0.05 in ETH per share, and if they transfer securities to a transfer agent and hold them until January 26, 2026, they will receive another $0.35. The goal of the initiative is to support long-term investors and limit short sales. The company's accounts contain 70,140 ETH ($300 million).

From this we can conclude that there is still high interest in Ethereum and it is holding the price despite the market correction.
